I had a conversation with Grant tonight that took me by surprise. We were in the car and out of the blue he asks, "Mom, where is God?" Well, I wish I could say that I had this great answer for him but instead I just sat there and stared at him. It stunned me. It was one of those moments we wait for as parents, hoping to impart some Godly wisdom to our kids and I got nothin!
Trying to stall, I asked, "What did you say?"
Again he says, "Where is God? Where does He live?" I rambled on and on about how God lives inside of us and in Heaven and that he is with us all the time even though we can't see him. He was quiet and I realized I probably just throughly confused my little three year old. He just sat there quietly for a minute and then, "So He doesn't live on a cloud?"
"No, he doesn't live on a cloud."
So there you go. I'm glad I could clear that up for him.
