Here are just a few of the questions Grant asked me yesterday:
-Is God a boy or a girl?
-Do Santa's reindeers really fly or is that make-believe?
-What is a brain tumor?
-When you were a little girl did you get lonely for your mommy when you were at school?
-Where is God and why can't I see Him? (This is a recurring question for him).
-What does dying mean?
I thought I had at least another year on the whole Santa thing.

Wow girl, you've really got your work cut out for you! I'd offer to help, but my knowledge pretty much stops at the absolute certainty that Santa's reindeer do, in fact, fly. :) It was so good to see you last week! We will be at the North campus this weekend b/c Joe Dan is playing. Hopefully I'll see you there! Love you!
Ok, so here is my motherly advice on the santa thing. Tell him the truth. Lawton was too old when we finally stopped dancing around the question. we tell Zane that santa is make believe and always was it is just for fun. He has never believed that a fat man brings him presents. This is what we did with him because of how upset Lawton was when we finally told him the truth. He felt that we lied to him and never wanted us to lie to Zane so therefore for our family we don't do the santa thing. I still have santa decor and such but the whole make believe we don't do as well as the easter bunny, tooth fairy and so on. We just want to always be truthful to our kids since Lawton took it so hard and called us hypocrtical liers. That didn't hit well with the heart!
Hey, I loved that time with my boys. And listening to them talk to each other was funny too. I remember Gideon was four when the Santa thing came up. So I told him "no" he doesn't exist. But as soon as I said it boy he let me know I was wrong. He said he sees him all over people's houses. So I just gave up.....being honest is not always what they want..........lol
