Our February

February came and went with no updates. Here is what we did in pictures.

Granmac and Grandaddy came to town and took us to the park. It was a perfect day for outside play!

Lainey and Abbey (our dog) became good friends

Poor Abbey (and the kids wonder why she runs from them)

Kamryn and Rhett had fun playing. Kam is loving her little cuz. She walks around the house asking for "Rhe" (without the tt). I think she likes not being the youngest of the bunch anymore.

Grant started reading full sentences! He has been reading a ton of words since the fall but in February he really took off and he just loves to read and write. The other day he told me he was sounding out the words in his head, "without my voice." I told him that was called reading silently and that meant he was getting to be a big kid. He then said, "I don't even have to read it, my head does it for me." Yesterday he read "get outside and play" all by himself. This has been one of the neatest things to watch. He is still really into drawing and now writes notes at the top of his drawings.
Uncle Kevin had a birthday so me and Ben, Angie and Kevin and my Mom went out for an adults only sushi dinner...so good!
So "Uncle" Michael and "Aunt" Jilinda came over to babysit. Grant is STILL talking about that night. He had so much fun with two of his favorite people giving him all their attention. After dinner we came back to our house for cake and ice cream and the evening quickly turned into this...

Little Miss Priss has sprouted an attitude and is turning into quite the drama queen. This is her new face when I find her getting into something she isn't supposed to. Crazy girl!

Until next time...whenever that may be. :)

These are great pictures! I think this is Michael Robinson, who played soccer with my brothers when they were young. Small world!
