Greetings blog readers!
You are used to reading the everyday goings-on of my better half and our pride and joy Grant. Well, my wife has agreed to turn the keyboard over to me for this post, so I thought I'd take advantage of the opportunity and say a few words about the love of my life! I could spend a long time and use a lot of words to talk about everything I love about my wife but, for the sake of bandwidth, I'll touch on the three best things that I love about her.
Compassion for Others
When I think of "big hearted" people, I think immediately of my wife. From her Monday night Bible study to our soon-to-begin ministry with I-55 in South Dallas, Liz is constantly looking to comfort, pray with, minister to, love on, and serve other people. She has mastered the art of putting herself in other people's shoes and seeing things through their perspective. It's such an encouragement to me to see that on a daily basis, especially in the "me first" world that we live in today. This attitude has humbled me on more than one occasion. If you are looking for a "big hearted" servant, look no further than the owner of this blog.
Love for Family
I know other moms out there can say this about their kids, but I really believe that Liz loves our son Grant with as much love as can be produced by a human being. She would also do anything for her mom, her sister Angie, and her six other siblings. Her love for family is not just limited to her biological family, but to her spiritual one as well. Carolyn, Emily, Holly, Melissa, Marissa, Gina, Lisa, Julie (I don't have an infinite amount of time to write this and could not list everyone so, please don't get offended if I left your name off this list:) - Liz loves you guys so much, if you already didn't know that.
Passionate Pursuit of Christ
Probably the thing that I love best about my wife is her love for the Lord. Liz is constantly seeking Christ in her daily life. I've witnessed an extreme increase in her desire to know Him more over the past few years. She impitomizes the words to this song.
Knowing you Jesus, knowing you,
There is no greater thing...
She is a great example and encouragement to me.
Okay, I've written enough already. Just thought I'd share some of my thoughts about my sweetie. Carry on.
-Ben

I agree Ben! I am thankful to have such a loving friend! You are a great example of how a Christian woman should live her life!!! Love you!
Oh wow...thanks guys! How sweet. I am so blessed with a wonderful husband and great family and friends! Love ya'll!
Ben, every word of your post is the truth and then some! And while we're at it let's go ahead and say that you are a good husband and wonderful father. Grant is very lucky to have you two as parents.
Liz, you know you are a friend to my soul. Time and distance have limited our contact but I never once doubt that you are just a phone call away.
Love you.
Lisa
Precious words about a precious woman, brought to us by a precious man. Ben, you got it right on the money. She is all of those things, and I love seeing just how the Lord uses her amazing gifts in so many special ways. She's calm and cool, yet there is a fire in her belly I never knew was there until recently.
Liz, you know what this means...you are a "dangerous" woman!
what great encouragement from the head of the house:) And like Chris said a couple of weeks ago, encouragement gives courage...with courage Liz can "take the land" that God has promised her this side of the grave. What a good man, Benny Boy!
Well said, friend. Well said.
