Jam-packed, fun-filled, back-to-back weekends!

Weekend #1- Old friends
Last weekend we had some of our oldest friends come to town. The Hoelzle's and the Porter's came to Frisco for a visit and it was refreshing to spend some quality time with them and their babies. We all went to the Cox's house for dinner. I have to say our time was spent much different than our college days. Gone are the days of sitting and talking through a whole meal. The kids had us on our toes but we wouldn't have it any other way. Ben, Rod, Mark and Braden all grew up in Longview and then went to A&M together and we are so blessed to still be the best of friends. We don't get to see each other as often as we once did so we cherish these times. Here are some pics from our evening together and a video of Grant and Mallory (Mark and Amy's oldest). Kamryn slept through most of the evening so she isn't in any pictures.

Weekend #2 - Natalie's party and Fall Festival
This past Friday night was Natalie's 3rd birthday party. We had so much fun dressing up like movie characters and they even rolled out the red carpet for us! Ben and I went as Napoleon Dynamite and Deb. The kids went as Sully, the monster (Grant) and Boo, the little girl, from Monsters, Inc. We came away the big winners of the night as Ben was voted the best adult costume and Kamryn was voted the best kid's costume. Kam was moved to tears during her acceptance speech. :) Natalie looked so beautiful as Cinderella and Lainey was adorable as Minnie Mouse. Of course I am amazed at how fast Natalie is growing up. She and Grant love to talk to each other on the phone and their conversations are just hilarious. They are truly best friends and I hope they stay that way always!

Yesterday we spent the day at our church's Fall Festival. Bounce houses, giant slides, and pony rides! Grant loved it! So as you can see we have been a busy family the past few weeks. Throw in a 24 hour stomach bug that we passed around and there you have our last couple of weeks!
