Laughter

Natalie is spending a few days with us while Angie and Kevin are out of town. Today I took Natalie, Grant and Kamryn with me to the consignment store to find some winter clothes for the kids. They were really good until the very end of the shopping experience. I told Grant to go put the toys up that he had been playing with. That is when he announced (yelled)in front of the whole store that he would now be taking me to the bathroom to give me a spanking and put me in time out. All I wanted to do is laugh. Isn't that awful? It struck me as hilarious and horrifying all at the same time. I also busted out laughing last week when he told me he got in trouble at school for calling his friend a wee-wee and a booby. What kind of mother am I? For the record I quickly followed that up with all the reasons we don't call our friends names, especially those names.

In other news we are getting ready for Natalie's 3rd birthday party. Every year she has a costume party since her b-day is a few days before halloween. This year the party is a Hollywood theme so we come dressed as a movie character. We have been busy getting our costumes together. Grant decided to try on Daddy's costume today. Can you guess who Ben is going to be from this pic? I was laughing so hard while taking this picture it was hard to get a clear shot. I think I could be in the worst mood and it would make me laugh.



Kamryn is growing up before our eyes! She sat in her highchair for the first time last night and ate her cereal like a big girl. It's so unbelievable to me how fast she is growing. She is still the sleepiest little girl I know. She sleeps at least 12 hours a night straight. Sometimes I have to wake her up after 12 hours. Then she takes an hour or two nap in the morning and a 3-4 hour nap in the afternoon. It is just unbelievable to me and that is why I can't get over it. I even took her to the pediatrician who assured me she isn't sick, just an easy baby. She is in stark contrast of her big brother who is the least sleepy boy in the world. He usually only sleeps 10 hours a night and no nap at all. And we have worked so hard to get that boy to sleep and it just doesn't work. Go figure.
