Dear Kamryn,
One year ago today you entered the world and changed our lives for the better. Just when we thought we were getting the hang of this parenting thing, you came along and changed everything up. I remember when we first realized that not every baby cries when they wake up. We would walk in your room in the mornings or after your nap thinking you were still sleeping only to find you had been playing quietly in your crib. At a year old you are still doing this but I've learned to turn the monitor way up and listen for you rolling around.
The joy you have brought into our home is indescribable. You bring a smile to your daddy's face that I had never seen before you joined our family. (By the way, you have him wrapped around that little finger of yours). You really are such a pleasant child, happy almost all the time. That smile of yours is contagious and can change a bad mood in a second. I love that about you. And you have such a sweet spirit. I can't wait to see what plans God has in store for your life. Always remember that HE has big plans for you, Baby.
We love you more than life itself. Happy first birthday, Baby Girl!

What a special day. I am so sorry that I missed being a part of it, But know that my heart was there! I am tears just reading this sweet post, and seeing the pictures. Kamryn is such a blessing and such a sweet little girl. I feel like I have missed a lot over this past year, Life is a funny thing, this has been a hard season but Thank God he is with us through every season...Kamryn, please know that although your aunt Gina was not able to celebrate with you today, I can't wait to watch you grow and spend many more special days with you. i love you guys

I wanted to have the boys sing a birthday song for Kamryn this weekend, but whenever I thought about it, the time was wrong (too late), the kids were going to bed, etc. Hopefully we'll get our act together tonight.
